A Selection of Qudsi  with An-Nawawis's Forty Hadith
A Selection of Authentic Qudsi (Sacred) Hadith
With An-Nawawis's Forty Hadith
Paperback 272 Pages (small Pocket size)
Translated by Muhammad M Abdul-Fattah
Edited By Reima Youssif Shakeir

This Book consists of
92 Authentic Hadith Qudsi  - Compiled  by the Translator
Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Hadith Qudsi (or Sacred Hadith) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadith which are Prophetic Hadith, their authority (Sanad) is traced back not to the Prophet but to the Almighty.

O son of Adam devote yourself to worshiping Me and I shall fill your heart with contentment and your hands with provision.
O Son of Adam do not go away from Me (Allah), for (if  you do), I shall fill your Heart with poverty (and neediness) and your hands with Occupation"
(Al-Hakim)  Ref: A Selection of Authentic Qudsi (Sacred) Hadith With An-Nawawis's Forty Hadiths

Complete An-Nawawis's Forty Hadith
This selection (actually comprising of 42 Hadith) is so Important that recently there has been a three Volume Commentary on these Important Hadith.

Imam Nawawi describes the Importance of these Hadith as follows

Each hadith being one of the great precepts of religion, described by religious scholars as being "the axis of Islam " or "the half of Islam" or "the third of it ", or the like,
and to make it a rule that these forty hadith be [classified as] sound and that the majority of them be in the Sahihs of Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
I give them without the chains of authorities so as to make it easier to memorize them and to make them of wider benefit if Allah Almighty wills,.

Imam Nawawi goes on to Say

Every person wishing to attain the Hereafter should know these hadith because of the important matters they contain and the directions they give in respect of all forms of obedience, this being obvious to anyone who has reflected upon it. On Allah do I rely and depend and to Him do I entrust myself; to Him be praise and grace, and with Him is success and immunity [to errors].

Describes the life and achievements of the second Khalif of the Muslims, a man who trusted in Allah and fearlessly supported the Prophet Muhammad, and a leader who during his time as Khalif established justice throughout the rapidly expanding Ummah.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said : I heared the messenger of Allah say :
"What I have forbidden to you, avoid; what I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. It was only their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets that destroyed those who were before you.
